Thursdays in Black

We encourage local churches to join hands with people around the world by wearing black on Thursdays to indicate that we are tired of putting up with rape and violence in our communities and that we have a desire for a community where we can all walk safely without fear of being beaten up, verbally abused, raped, of being discriminated against due to one’s gender or sexual orientation.  “Wearing black on Thursdays highlights the unacceptably high levels of abuse against women in our society.”  To read more on Thursdays in Black go to




Creators meet Monday mornings at 9 a.m. at Westview United church.Come in North-east choir door and we meet in the lower level.We make wall hangings for worship.  We do projects to make money for the talent auction.We create stoles and wallhangings on request for others.  If you’re creative and want to have fun, come try us out and bring a friend.Contact:  Donna Brown 306-783-8246.  Love to see you there!

Comprehensive Review Task Group Releases Report

After two years of study and consultation, the CRTG is recommending majoyr changes tot eh UCC that would revitalize and nurture and range of ministries, simiplify governance and administration, and enable the church to live within its resources.  the 42nd General Council sill make decisions about the task group’s recommendations and any additional proposals when it meets August 8-15, 2015.  The report is available at
